Newcomer’s Reception
Once each month you can linger for a few minutes for a short introduction to Forest Pointe Church.  During this short time you can meet some of the FPC staff, as well as other folks new to the church.  September 7: Immediately following the 11 am service, Stowe YMCA.


Small Groups
Small groups are where we Grow closer to God and to each other, Care for each other in critical times and in everyday life and Serve together within our church and within our community.


Small Group New Leader Training
If you are preparing to be a new Small Group leader you must attend a training session.  September 13: 9:00am-12:00pm, Pointe 24/7, Downtown Belmont.  Contact Greg Hunter if you are interest in attending.


Small Group Leadership Lunch

Small Group leaders will be preparing to launch the new Small Group year. Our Fall Semester is the start of  the new year. As a Small Group Leader, Host or Coordinator, you and your family are invited to share lunch with us as we cast a vision for the future of the Small Groups Ministry.  September 14: 12:30-2:00pm, Pointe 24/7, Downtown Belmont.  Contact Greg Hunter if you are interest in attending.


KidzPointe- A Quick Look at the Weekend Ahead!
Hiz Neighborhood
:
This week in Hiz Neighborhood kids will take a look at Matthew 4:19 where Jesus called the first two disciples and said to them; “Come follow me, and I will make you fishers of men”.  The kids will be creating items and playing games that will complement our fishing series {Deadliest Catch}.  All games and crafts will coincide with fish and the art of fishing.

KidzPointe - Attention Rising 6th Graders – The Shift
In honor of your “SHIFT” into Student Pointe you and your parents are invited to lunch on Sunday August 17 @ 12:30 @ The Pointe.  Registration is required for this event You can sign up at the Student Pointe or KidzPointe Booths on Sunday mornings.  


KidzPointe – Block Party K-1
This event is for kids that are rising Kindergarteners and rising first graders to highlight their promotion.  Kids and their families are invited to lunch on Sunday, August 24 at 12pm downstairs at the “Y” immediately following the second service.   Please sign up at the KidzPointe Booth on Sunday morning!


Student Pointe - Middle School Small Groups
We would love for you to join our middle school guys and girls groups. These groups meet every Sunday morning @ 9:30 AM.  Girls meet in the area overlooking the pool and guys meet in the weight room.   Small groups are a great way to get to know other students and have fun.


Student Pointe - High School Small Groups
High School small groups meet @ 6:00 PM on Sunday nights. We meet in The Pointe and breakout into separate areas for guys and girls. We all need encouragement as we walk through life and small groups are a great place to build those relationships! We hope you will plan now to get involved.  


Student Pointe - Sunday Nite Live!
Join us on Sunday nights from 7 - 8 PM at The Pointe for food, fun and fellowship. Our middle and high school students meet together for this time. You will hear relevant teaching on issues that you face as a teenager, a live band and you can spend some time just hangin’ out in our game room!  This month, we will begin a new series entitled, “Life in High Def”.  We invite you to come experience it for yourself and bring a friend!


Student Pointe – Attention Rising 6th Graders – Small Group Opportunity
You are invited to attend a small group just for you as you begin your transition into middle school.  You will be reading through the book “Surviving Middle School”.  The book is yours to keep and it also comes with a music CD.  Beth Pryor is leading this group on Sunday mornings at 9:30 in the conference room in the YMCA office.


Family Ministry – Leadership Summit
If you are currently serving as a volunteer in KidzPointe or Student Pointe or are interested in serving in either of these vital ministries you are invited to attend The Summit on Wednesday, August 13 from 7-8pm downstairs at the YMCA.  We will highlight the exciting things that are coming in the fall.  Also, we want to better equip you to serve in order for our kids and students to take their next steps on their journey with Christ.  Be sure to mark your calendars now for this important event!  Please sign up at either the KidzPointe or Student Pointe Booths. Childcare will be provided.


724 - Young Adult Ministry
If you are a college student, single person or young adult, Forest Pointe has a group just for you! This is a very diverse group and we are here to help you take the next step in your spiritual journey. We normally meet at 7:30 PM on Tuesday nights at our downtown Belmont location, The Pointe.  We plan on attending the Charlie Hall concert on August 26th.  The cost for the concert is $10.00 and money is due in advance.  You can sign up for all events on Sunday at the Student Pointe Booth.  The concert will depend on participation!   For more details stop by the Student Pointe Booth.  If you would like to be added to our email list call Phil at 704-825-1709.

PointeMen - Middle of the Morning Meal
Hey guys, join us for our first ever breakfast not at 7am! We are hosting a special middle of the morning meal (if you say brunch, you are uninvited!). Please join us, Saturday, August 23rd at 9am-11am, Pointe 24/7, Downtown Belmont. We  will be talking about our Lake Lure trip and sharing with you some words to encourage your life.
