1. What kind of church is Forest Pointe?

Forest Pointe is a non-denominational church. We are distinctly Christian in our beliefs and doctrine. People who attend FPC come from a variety of denominational backgrounds and many have never been to church before.

2. What does your church believe?

Though FPC is not traditional in style, we are deeply committed to the eternal truths of the Bible. Our mission is to lead people to take the NEXT STEP in their journey with Christ. Click here to see our beliefs in greater detail.

3. How should I dress?

People at FPC wear what is comfortable for them. Shorts, jeans, slacks and dresses are worn each Sunday. What is casual to some may be different for others. So, we just say, come as you are; and dress however you want!

4. Why do you meet at a YMCA?

Because we are a young church, we do not have a facility of our own. We have purchased 10 acres of land on South Point Road in Belmont that will become the site of our future home. We are currently in the design phase of our main campus facility, and hope to break ground some time in 2008.

5. How long has Forest Pointe been meeting?

Our first public service was held on April 15, 2001.

6. What is your worship service like?

We work hard to make sure every worship service is creative and relevant to your life. On a typical Sunday you will experience music from a high energy band, practical teaching, drama, creative videos, and other multimedia presentations. Every Sunday is different. We encourage you to come and see for yourself. Creativity is taken seriously at Forest Pointe.

7. Will I have to give anything or sign anything?

If you're visiting we won't ask you to give anything. We want the service to be our gift to you. Those who call FPC home put their tithes and offerings in a basket that is passed during the offering time. We also won't make you wear a sticker or stand up. You can remain as anonymous as you like, but we encourage you to fill out the ConneXion Card if you wish, so we can learn more about you.

8. What about my kids?

While you are enjoying our worship service, your children are being well cared for in a safe environment in our KidzPointe ministry. To find more information on what happens in KidzPointe, click here.

9. Do you have a Sunday School?

No, instead our spiritual growth and fellowship time happens during the week in classes called Small Groups. Small Groups meet at a variety of times throughout the week, so you are sure to find one that fits your schedule. We encourage everyone who attends FPC to get involved in a Small Group.

10. How do I get there?

Sunday services are held at the Stowe YMCA in Belmont. Click here for directions. Service times are 9:30 & 11:00 AM.
