Forest Pointe Church is a family of
Christians united under God to serve as His representatives,
bringing love and hope to our community, nation, and world!
We strive to be like Christ in character, and though we fall
short of His Perfect standard, we enjoy the fact that we have
been saved by a merciful God who sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to
die for us so that we may have complete forgiveness of our sins
- past, present, and future.
We believe that the Bible is God’s Perfect Word to us.
Although it was written by human authors, we believe that each
word was penned under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and is
the supreme source of truth for Christian living.
The God of the Bible is the Creator and Ruler of the
Universe, and we revere Him as such.
He exists in three personalities: Father, Son (Jesus Christ),
and Holy Spirit (who lives inside of a Christian’s heart from
the moment of salvation, guiding us, convicting us when we
stray, and empowering us to serve God effectively.) These three
personalities, also known as The Holy Trinity, are equally
important in making up the totality of God.
We believe that once we have trusted in Christ for our
salvation, we are saved for life!
If our faith is genuine, our salvation cannot be lost,
regardless of how disobedient we may choose to be at times. In
spite of our sinful tendency to stray, the Holy Spirit is hard
at work in the heart of each Christian, working to bring us
closer to God and convicting us of our need to repent during
times of weakness. Because of the wonderful gift of salvation,
Christians can rest assured that God will be with us always,
both in this world and in the world beyond. Thanks to Christ’s
sacrifice and God’s love for us, the sin that warrants eternal
separation from God is completely forgiven, and the doors of
Heaven swing open!
At Forest Pointe, our mission is to
lead people to take the NEXT STEP in their journey with Christ!
We invite them to turn away from a life of unbelief and share in
the joyful and freeing relationship with God that is available
to everyone. As a church we desire, as well, to help our
Christian friends continue to grow deeper in their faith through
our loving support and by engaging our own special gifts and
talents that have been given to us for the purpose of enriching
the lives of others in our church family and beyond! |
